HIRSCHMANN OZD PROFI 12M G12 is an industrial fiberoptic transceiver module designed for PROFIBUS fieldbus networks. It functions as an electrical-to-optical interface converter with integrated repeater functionality, extending network distances and providing galvanic isolation. With one electrical RS-485 port and two optical ports supporting BFOC 2.5 connectors, it operates at all PROFIBUS data rates up to 12 Mbit/s. Engineered for DIN rail mounting, it features redundant power supply inputs, HIPER-Ring topology support, and hazardous location approvals including ATEX Zone 2 for demanding industrial applications.
