ABB CAI04 is a compact analog input module designed for distributed control systems, processing up to 8 group-isolated signals from thermocouples or millivolt sources. Each channel is independently configurable using function codes, with 16-bit resolution including polarity for high-precision measurement. The module utilizes two analog-to-digital converters, each serving four channels, and updates all eight inputs within 300 milliseconds. This enables accurate temperature sensing and signal acquisition for reliable process monitoring and control in industrial applications.
